Hi, my name is Haben (aka Web Marketing Guy).  I help small businesses get started the right way.  Based in Melbourne, Australia,  I work with clients all over the globe offering strategies, web design & marketing services to help them get more customers online. 

Back in 2010, I started my first home services business. I had no idea where to begin, and even less idea about marketing. Like many small business owners, I felt stuck, frustrated, and overwhelmed.

To make things worse, I trusted the wrong people — agencies and freelancers who promised the world but delivered very little. It was a tough (and expensive) lesson.

That’s why I understand exactly what you’re going through. I’ve been there. I know how confusing, overwhelming, and risky marketing can feel when you’re trying to grow a business.

Those struggles are what led me to start Web Marketing Guy.

I made plenty of mistakes in the beginning, but those mistakes forced me to learn. I dove into digital marketing, tried just about every strategy out there, and slowly figured out what actually works.

Over the years, I’ve cut through the noise. I’ve tested countless ideas, scrapped the ones that wasted time and money, and kept the ones that consistently bring results. Today, that’s what I share with my clients — simple, proven strategies that help small business owners like you get more customers without the stress or guesswork.

That’s why the first thing we’ll do after you submit an enquiry is jump on a quick discovery call. It’s a relaxed chat where I get to learn about your business, your challenges, and your goals — so we can see the best way forward together.

Once we’ve had our discovery call, we’ll talk through your needs and outline some possible solutions that fit your budget and goals.

From there, we’ll schedule a follow-up call (usually 30–60 minutes) to gather all the details we need to move your project forward with confidence.

After the paperwork is signed, we don’t waste time — we get straight to work bringing your project to life.

Every project is a collaboration. Depending on the scope, there may be some back-and-forth to share feedback or clarify details — that’s completely normal and helps us get the best results.

For ongoing marketing, we’ll also schedule regular check-ins (usually monthly) along with progress reports. This way, you’ll always know exactly where things stand and how your marketing is performing.

When a project wraps up, I’ll make sure everything is delivered, explained, and ready for you to use with confidence. You won’t be left with unanswered questions or wondering what to do next.

For ongoing marketing, this stage is more of a transition — moving from setup into continuous growth. We’ll review what’s been achieved, make sure you’re comfortable with the process, and then focus on building momentum.

The goal is simple: to leave you with clarity, confidence, and a clear path forward.

Your website isn’t something you “set and forget.” To keep things running smoothly, all the essentials — like annual web hosting, plugin updates, and theme maintenance — are included in your annual package.

Need extra help? I also provide ad-hoc services such as updating images or text, adding new pages, or tackling more technical tasks. These can be requested anytime through the website or by email.

My standard rate is AUD $120 per hour, but for larger or more complex projects I’ll prepare a tailored quote so you know exactly what to expect.

You’ll also have access to step-by-step video tutorials showing you how to make simple changes yourself — like editing text, swapping images, or adding new pages — giving you the freedom to stay in control.
